RaeAnne is a Plains Cree and Métis woman, born and raised in Lloydminster Saskatchewan. Her Indigenous roots are in Onion Lake Cree Nation, Saskatchewan in Treaty 6 territory. She is currently a student at the University of Alberta working towards a Native Studies major and Sociology minor. She hopes to better understand the histories of Indigenous Peoples and how Indigenous and non-Indigenous people can work together in a good way. Before starting university, RaeAnne worked as coordinator at a youth centre and led a National Indigenous Youth Council. These opportunities influenced her goals and made her realize her real passion which is supporting Indigenous People.
